Eldamar is a font for writing the Feanorian, Pre-Feanorian, Valmaric and Rúmilian writing systems invented
by J.R.R. Tolkien, as well as the New English Alphabet. The font has evolved from the older TrueType fonts
Tengwar Eldamar, Sarati Eldamar and Valmaric Eldamar.
Unlike its predecessors, Eldamar includes rich OpenType features such as contextual alternates, automatic positioning of diacritics and stylistic alternates.
Most of the letters have also been adjusted and refined for improved appearance and greater coherence with Tolkien’s intentions.
Eldamar is released under the SIL Open Font License. This license permits you to use, modify and distribute Eldamar freely (as long as any derivative fonts use the same license). Further information is included in the documentation.
